Snowball Kids

Snowball Game is a student project for INFOMAIGT course at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. The goal of this project is to model players' play styles of beating AI agents. We are aiming to explore the different playing styles of players via artificial intelligence and predict the player's play styles with the pre-trained model.

For data collection, we would like to ask you to kindly share your data with us for research purposes by playing Level 1. The data will be automatically sent to our web service. It is important to note that we do not collect any personal data like names, and ages, only the playing data.

Data Upload Issue Update

Sadly, we are facing a problem with uploading data to our server from itch.io. It keeps occurring an `ns_error_dom_bad_uri` error so the web request is never sent. If you would like to help us with the data collection, please head to https://snowballgame.nl/ to play the game. Play Instruction

Movement: W A S D

To throw a ball, the player will need to charge energy and throw the ball at the desired energy.

Aiming: Hold the Left Mouse Button, a charge bar will show up

Throw: Release the Left Mouse Button

The goal of this game is to defeat the final boss at the end of a level.

Data Export Instruction

The data is sent to our web service automatically, but it is also available locally for you to verify what kind of data we send. To find the data, please read the following instructions:

Windows: The save file is in the "Game.Saves.GameStatisticsDataV1" folder of the game folder.

WebGL: The save file can be exported by clicking the export button at the bottom right when the game is finished. Note that sometimes you might need to click twice in order to save the data.

Known Issue & Future Improvement

• Add checkpoints, so that players do not need to travel a fairly long distance
• Enemies still slide while dead.
